Ealing Drug and Alcohol Action Team (DAAT) is a service run by Ealing Primary Care Trust and London Borough of Ealing Social Services, which supports the work of the Ealing Drug and Alcohol Action Task Group (DATG) which oversees the commissioning, purchasing and strategic development of drug and alcohol treatment and ancillary support services for adults (18+). The DAAT team is tasked with the local implementation of Government strategies for drugs and alcohol.
Each year, Ealing DAAT publishes a yearly “Treatment Plan” which is agreed with the National Treatment Agency (NTA) and sets out the goals and objectives for treatment services in the borough for the year ahead (click here to download current treatment plans)
Ealing commissions statutory and voluntary organisations to deliver drug and alcohol interventions. These organisations provide the full range of services specific for drug and alcohol users including: needle exchange, outreach programmes, structured counselling, substitute prescribing as well as assistance with education, housing, training and employment.
Ealing’s services are commissioned to provide a seamless package of care for those moving through the different phases of care. The treatment map below shows typical treatment pathways available to drug and alcohol users.
